![]() Even when I'm pressing the button in equal intervalls the dash will randomly stop. ![]() But then requiring it to be done with a tiny joystick where you don't have time to readjust ur thumb and then have it bug out randomly is a completely different one. decided that the (disputably) hardest challenge in the game should be absurdly repetitive and completely different from the rest of the game is one thing. God the thought that somebody designed this. And I'm talking about 8-10 hours climbling slowly up to 496 chain dashes. Not listening to the gorgeous music or looking at those beautiful color palettes, no, going in lines and circles forever. But by now I have spent most of the time in game with this dash challenge. I was reealy invested, read guides and lore speculations and all of the story of the heart machine dev team. The switch version was the first time I played hyper light drifter. Just get into the rhythm, concentrate but don't, and I'm sure you'll get there. Know that it takes around 3 minutes, maybe that will be less daunting, and certainly don't fixate on the number at the bottom of the screen, that always threw me off and cost me my 600 attempt. ![]() It's certainly a very intimidating challenge, but I guess that kind of goes in line with the theme of the game. Checked a 220 bpm metronome track on YT and hit 900 the next try. I got to 200 and failed, I got to 600 and failed, then after a few more attempts where I didn't even hit 70 I took a break, chilled, then came back to it later. This adds up to 8 dashes, and for me, thinking about it as 100 sets was much better psychologically. Dash four times to the left, then immediately input right on the stick and dash four times right. I found that going left and right, rather than around in a circle worked better for me.
